Staying with my goddaughter and her family last weekend saw us discussing homemade pasta on Friday night and setting about passing on all the little knowledge we have to the kids at Saturday lunchtime.
They rolled, and rolled, and made parcels of filling, and folded, and squeezed out the bubbles of air, and made crinkled little edges, before presenting them to mummy to be cooked. Needless to say, this lunch, made by their own little hands, went down a treat.
I'm now certain that these girls will be asking to do this again and again: two mini pastaficios in the making.
