The Sculpture Garden at MoMA

Every day between 9.30 and 10.15 in the morning you are free to wander in to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, which is hidden away in the heart of New York's MoMA, without paying a penny. The sculpture garden is a serene, zen-like space, tucked away in the heart of Manhattan's crazy, overwhelming Midtown.

There's a little café tucked away in the far corner which will serve you up an iced tea or coffee on a warm, bright morning. You can then spend an hour in this calming courtyard with the morning paper, or a good book, pausing to look up and perhaps walk the circumference of a Henry Moore, a Picasso, or a Rodin sculpture every now and then, before returning to the words on your page from the comfort of a black wire chair. The most peaceful, inspiring way to start a sunny day.
